- old kitchen when we first bought the house: http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5dd10b3127cce913fc1b4962300000016108AZOGLZw0Ytf
- New flooring and added a "window"...this was done when we first moved in 2 years ago: http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5dd10b3127cce913fc607d60b00000016108AZOGLZw0Ytfhttp://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da07b3127cce9102cc2290f100000026108AZOGLZw0Ytf
- And this is where the remodel started
I tried to paint the tiles white but hated it so I started to take them down

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5db22b3127cce9124012df68900000016108AZOGLZw0Ytf - any suggestions on hardware? I tried this small brass handle on the left cabinet door, but not sure about it.

The countertop is laminate Mystique Dawn from Home Depot...bought right off the shelf with the mitre cut. The tile wasn't evry difficult to remove but there was a LOT of morter left on the wall. We tried out best to chip it off/sand it to get a somewhat smotth surface to retile over.
This is by no mean a new glamourous kitchen like some of the ones I see here. This is updating a townhouse kitchen on a very tight budget (about 1k). That includes a new stove, countertop, sink, faucet, garbage disposal, and tile. We're trying to decide on new hardware and whether a new dishwasher would complete the look.
