Details:
  • Cabinets: frameless cherry cabinets with Shaker style doors and a natural/clear conversion varnish finish.
  • Drawer pulls and door knobs: Top Knobs.
  • Granite countertops: Black Impala or Nero Impala, 2 centimeters thick, with a 3/8" radius on the edge.
  • Sinks: Kindred undermount stainless steel.
  • Faucets: KWC Luna with pull-out spray.
  • Range: Dacor RSD30 dual fuel.
  • Microwave: Panasonic
  • Backsplash around raised bar: Most of the tiles are charcoal multicolor tumbled slate, to match our floor tile. The inserts are black glass from Oceanside Glasstile and stainless steel, both purchased through Pratt & Larson. The backsplash was put on top of finished wood, so the tiles were glued on with construction adhesive and held in place with plastic wedges until dry. The grout is sanded grout in dove gray, to match the floor.
  • Flooring: 16" square China multicolor slate, installed in a soldier course pattern.

Thanks for sharing this. I put in slate floors, which came out well, but I've been stumped on backsplash. Your mix of echoing the slate while adding both black glass and metal is by far the best I've seen.
