http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg233/Delmobile/Details:
- Cabinets: Custom, maple w/ fruitwood stain (island painted Devoe Sparkling Garnet).
- Tile: backsplash is tumbled slate. Island is Daltile tumbled stone.
- Stainless counter & sink were fabricated locally. Faucet is Blanco.
- Floor: Cork. IDS was the brand, I think.
- All appliances are Kenmore Elite except the old Frigidaire Gallery d/w and the sad black Sharp microwave. We had a nice faux stainless one but it broke just after the kitchen was done and it was cheaper to buy a new one than fix it.
- The pendant light came from Home Depot. The chandelier came from Italy via lightonline.net (very reasonable!)

We totally remodeled the kitchen and tore out a wall to make a great room. Our new kitchen has Ultracraft cherry cabinets with amber stain, Siro metro pulls, Jetta Stone countertops/sink, and Kenmore appliances. We might still put a backsplash over the range and a valance in the window. It's finally starting to feel like home! If you have any questions, I'll post a thread in the "discussions" area. |

another member of the 98% done club...
Construction
We remodeled our 1960's ranch kitchen over the summer, including moving one wall
out into an adjacent breezeway, which gave us 8 additional feet. Then we abandoned
an existing 6' window and replaced it with a lovely 10' window.
Cabinets
Cherry, beaded inset with raised panel of doors and large drawers, G-cove, from
CabinetryDirect in Mississippi. Stain is honey and finish sheen is 30%. Knobs are
inexpensive knobs from Home Depot -- I just couldn't see the difference between
them and the $15/knob variety I found in a high end shop! Next to the new fridge,
the blumotion drawer glides are a favorite feature.
Floor
Oak, with golden oak stain and 4 coats of high goss poly.
Appliances
48" SubZero side-by-side (love it - who'd've known?!)
Dacor PGM cooktop
Miele Masterchef double ovens
Recycled from old kitchen: dishwasher, microwave
Lights
4" recessed cans in 2 zones
Juno xenon undercabinet lights
Progress pendants
4' flourscent tube in the pantry
Sink
Blancowave with Ladylux Cafe faucet
Granite
Verde Butterfly
Backsplash
Durango limestone (4", 2", 1") with Sonoma Tantrum accents
Thanks, everyone, for posting so many excellent suggestions to the "community". I love this site!

Ok, as many have posted here, we are about 98% done!!! Absolutely love our new kitchen, and we feel a little spoiled!!! Anyways, I've pretty much forgotten all details, as a want to be done and move on!!! But I'll get my binder out...so here are some details!
Stove: 1950 Wedgewood double oven six burner that we dismantled and restored: I Love it!!
Hood: Vent-a-hood Euroline 42" (Yet to be installed)
Fridge:Amana counter depth bottom freezer
Dishwasher: Kenmore
Sink: Franke RGX-160
Faucet: Vinnata
Soap Dispenser: Delta
Instant Hot: Mountain Plumbing MT-550
Counters: honed absolute black granite and carrera marble
Backsplash Tile: Jeffrey Court Ivory Crackle/ Acanthus liner
Pendants: Hudson Valley Lighting
Recessed: 5" cans
Think I got most of it. You'll have to sift through the house renovation photos to find the kitchen, sorry!
We still need to install the hood, and panels for the fridge and dishwasher.
