My kitchen was part of a larger addition/remodel; the main purpose of which was to
add an in-law apartment on for my Dad. We bought this house expressly for that
purpose and only lived here for 3 months before groundbreaking. However we ended
up remodelling and/or reconfiguring the entire layout of the house. Every room was
affected to some degree. A standard 30 year old center-entry Colonial got a big
kitchen open to the family room and lots of light!

Hollybolly: I had to post b/c I collect Boleslaweic pottery, too. I plan to use the door pulls in my new kitchen, as well as assorted pieces on the walls, counters, shelves. (They are my everyday dishes, but I have many decorative items, as you appear to have.) What a wonderful surprise to find your lovely kitchen and to get a clear sense of how my own will someday look.
