Could you provide some info on your backsplash?? I just put in golden lapidus granite and have been stumped about the backsplash. TIA.

I'm teetering about Alder for cabinets in my new kitchen. I've heard good and bad about how soft it is. I've heard you can stick your fingenail in it soft and I've heard that they make artificial limbs out of alder, so I don't know what to do! I love it stained dark. Any problems yet with it being soft?
