- Cabinets: Medallion, Designer Gold Maple Barcelona Hazelnut
- Countertops: Angola Black Granite (Perimeter) & Coco Blue Granite (Island)
- Backsplash: subway tile is the same style as the floor... white/beige/gray porcelain with rough stone-like edges (Vallelunga brand). Square tiles (different shades of blue) look a little like glass, but are ceramic.

- Cabinets: Island: Woodmode, Custom, black with red undercoat and distressed
- Countertop: Perimeter: Soapstone, don't know what kind, dark (love it)

- Backsplash: Custom tile. I can't remember from where, but could find it, if necessary.
- Sink: Shaw farmhouse (a mistake)
- Faucet: Price Pfister Marielle - ORB
- Floor: Mix of old and new oak*

- Red Painted Cabinet - purchased at a reproduction antique shop in Wisconsin along with the photo above it.
*eco friendly. BTW, we also used denim insulation and the lighting plan was greened up, including green undercabinet lighting.
Denim Insulation. First, your project has to be down to the studs since this rolls in like typical fiberglass insulation. Then, the cost is about 10% more than standard. For us, it came out to about $200 more. In the grand-scheme of things, $200 wasn't much. We bought ours at Greenmaker Supply in Chicago, because we live just to the west. We also went with FSC certified wood from them.

Details:
- Cabinets: Medallion Santa Cruz maple with Divinity Finish
- Countertop: Soapstone- Green Mounain Original P.A. and butcher block. The end grain butcher block was customed made for me by my GC. It is cherry with a walnut trim.
- Backsplash: subway tile is a glossy white from Subway Ceramics. We ordered outlet covers from them as well. They give it a nice finished look. The grout is a very light grey called "moonlight".

Ceiling height: 9 feet
The cabinets do not go all the way to the ceiling. The house was built in 1925. The ceiling now slopes. It would have been too difficult to match the slope. We like the shadow line that is created by not going all the way up.
